New Frug Jewellery

We recently got in a huge batch of new jewelery by Montreal company Frug and their recently launched alter-ego "La Pistole".

Our new favourites: this amazing fox necklace, a silver cast russian doll earring/necklace set and a dutch themed locket series. Here are some pix:

La Chatte Bottee thank you!

So - the La Chatte Bottee shoe party last week was about as much fun as we've had in ages. I personally have never seen such a fine selection of vintage shoes, all in impeccable condition and I am in the vintage biz myself so I guess that's saying something. We thank Nika and Carole for their hard work and fabulous footwear, as well as their vintage taste in snacks (of note: a hilarious lobster serving dish and spinach dip served in a hollowed out loaf of bread - yum!). Sophia - General 54 employee extraordinaire - found a new pair favourite shoes... replacing her old pair which have sadly seen better days. Shoe Party at the General

Hello vintage footwear fans,
The lovely ladies of La Chatte Bottee will be setting up their mobile footwear emporium at the General this Thursday night May 22nd. If you are new to this phenomenon, friends Nika and Carole have been occupying various hip and happenin retail spaces for some time now with their to-die-for collection of vintage show and boots. There is guaranteed to be something for all tastes and sizes (they promise something like 300-400 pairs!) along with pink-and-boozy drinks (free of charge! Thanks ladies!), and snacks. A word of advice: bring lots of paper money cause the ladies only take the cash dollars! It's all happening starting at 6pm. And as if that wasn't enough, we're doing our usual party-thing with 10% off everything in the store! Shop yr socks off.;
