Little Houses designer Shanah Flodstrom recently relocated from Vancouver to Montreal. We are lucky to have her, and her designs, here with us! She is offering a special mini-collection for summer, consisting of three lovely little pieces available at General 54, and there will be much more to come in autumn. All pieces come in small, medium, and large, and their prices are so reasonable that fans can pick up the whole collection without regrets.
The Winter Scene Summer Tunic is our favorite pick this summer. What better way to beat the summer heat than in an ultra airy, 100% rayon tunic with a cool winter scene printed on it.
Each of the Winter Scene Summer Tunics are made with three panels of lightweight rayon in this unique print. Each tunic is one of a kind and the patterns take on different configurations depending on the specific piece. Some are printed on both sides, some have a plain navy back with the print only on the front. Come by General 54 to choose your favorite.
The printed crop top is made of a featherlight cotton/silk mix. It hits just above the belly button and has a breezy cut, but is fitted enough to avoid anything resembling a tent-like silhouette.
It has a deep brown abstract-mixed animal print on a creamy white background and looks amazing with a high waist short or skirt. Feeling a little unsure about flashing some midriff? No problem, pair it with a fitted tank dress or add a camisole underneath for cool summer layers.
Last, but certainly not least, the adorable floral short shorts. Pictured here with a Jennifer Glasgow tee, these little charmers pair up nicely with a denim sleeveless, a white undershirt, or even a lightweight sweater.
Little Houses is wowing us with simple design, beautiful fits, high-impact prints, and a summery spirit of ageless feminine fun. Keep up the great work, Shanah! Little Houses has been releasing small-run lines since 2007, and we can't wait to see what's in store for Autumn 2012!
