They Don't Ride Up Your Butt! The Candi Factory Presents The Perfect Panties

General 54 proudly announces the arrival of the world's best underpants! The Candi Factory has graced us with their incredible undies, and we couldn't be happier. Completely designed and sewn in Toronto since 2001, these are the kind of underthings you won't be afraid to show off.
Candi Factory designer Candice Levine holds a fashion degree from Parsons, and she clearly understands fit and comfort for a woman's body. Candice has made the impossible possible by creating a panty with no elastic waistband that keeps its shape and stays up, without hiking. Also, these unders don't ride up, they really don't!We cannot stress enough the joy of a wedgie-free day! Without the bunching and scrunching, dragging and sagging, they cut a nice line, (i.e. no line at all), under fitted or clinging fabrics as well.

The Candi Factory has two fabric mixes for it's underpants: The first is a 95% organic cotton 5% lycra mix which is breathable with enough stretch to keep them in shape and comfy. The second is 88% supplex and 12% lycra with a cotton gusset. (Follow the link to read more about the amazing world of supplex). The Candi Factory briefs are all available in a true size range of XS to XL, and fit most everybody!

Perhaps the best feature of these undies is their durability. You can put them in the washer, you can put them in the dryer, you can wear them over and over again, and they last a very very very long time. We know folks who have been wearing the same pairs for more than four years. So, remember the run down: locally made, great fit, great fabrics, won't ride up your butt, no elastic waistband, great range of sizes, and incredibly durable. Oh wait, we forgot, they are also gorgeous!

Lucky Us! Little Houses Clothing Makes a Home for Itself in Montreal

Little Houses designer Shanah Flodstrom recently relocated from Vancouver to Montreal. We are lucky to have her, and her designs, here with us! She is offering a special mini-collection for summer, consisting of three lovely little pieces available at General 54, and there will be much more to come in autumn. All pieces come in small, medium, and large, and their prices are so reasonable that fans can pick up the whole collection without regrets.

The Winter Scene Summer Tunic is our favorite pick this summer. What better way to beat the summer heat than in an ultra airy, 100% rayon tunic with a cool winter scene printed on it.

Each of the Winter Scene Summer Tunics are made with three panels of lightweight rayon in this unique print. Each tunic is one of a kind and the patterns take on different configurations depending on the specific piece. Some are printed on both sides, some have a plain navy back with the print only on the front. Come by General 54 to choose your favorite.
The printed crop top is made of a featherlight cotton/silk mix. It hits just above the belly button and has a breezy cut, but is fitted enough to avoid anything resembling a tent-like silhouette.
It has a deep brown abstract-mixed animal print on a creamy white background and looks amazing with a high waist short or skirt. Feeling a little unsure about flashing some midriff? No problem, pair it with a fitted tank dress or add a camisole underneath for cool summer layers.
Last, but certainly not least, the adorable floral short shorts. Pictured here with a Jennifer Glasgow tee, these little charmers pair up nicely with a denim sleeveless, a white undershirt, or even a lightweight sweater.
Little Houses is wowing us with simple design, beautiful fits, high-impact prints, and a summery spirit of ageless feminine fun. Keep up the great work, Shanah! Little Houses has been releasing small-run lines since 2007, and we can't wait to see what's in store for Autumn 2012!
